Most people who care enough to hire a personal trainer care enough to live an overall healthy life. The consumption of the proper foods and categories will make the difference in all aspects of your training. Not all carbohydrate foods are created identical in fact they act quite differently in our bodies. The glycemic index or GI describes this difference by ranking carbohydrates according to their effect on our blood glucose levels. By having a small understanding of this concept this will provide the ground work for proper nutrition and weight loss.
This is a great site for general information concering Special Forces workouts and training. This is the root of where my background in physical training began.
A must use site for counting calories, fats, carbs, and protien! You can just enter the foods that you eat on a daily basis and the program will pull up the food type and give you the nutritional values. This site also includes all restaurants in the U.S.A. so if you eat out you can still find what the VALUES of the good groups are.
